The Inter-Operability of Electronic Catalogues is the interconnection of several Electronic Catalogues in such a way that they constitute one logical catalogue. The main objective of inter-operability is to make available all the descriptive Product/Service and Location information from one physical catalogue to another physical catalogue without any loss of information. This can only be achieved through the harmonisation of catalogue structures, rules, data, and interfaces.
